The Martingale or “doubling-up” system in Live Roulette

There are many people who try out the game of live roulette at the online casinos. Many of these people might try to choose one of the numbers that the little ball is going to land on. If they are lucky, they will be a winner. The payout of 35 to 1 is something that is very appealing to many online casino enthusiasts.

The players that use this type of strategy are relying on luck to win. More often than not, they will walk away from the roulette table with less money than when they started. Instead of playing the game of roulette and hoping to get lucky, it is better to come up with a strategy that is based on statistics and that will help them win more than they lose at the roulette table.

The Martingale System

One of the systems that roulette players are turning to is the Martingale system. This is also referred to as the doubling up system. This system is one of the most popular systems used in any casino. It has been in use for more than 300 years. The system is based on the Martingale probability system. This was developed by Paul Pierre Lévy. He was a French mathematician. There are three types of Martingale systems to consider.

The Classic Martingale

Like all of the Martingale systems, this involves placing a bet on the even money outside roulette bets. The most common bets of this type are the 1 to 18, 19 to 36, even, odd, red or black bets. Under this system the player will double their bet every time they lose and will decrease the bet to their original amount when they win. A series of bets would be:

1 – loss

2 – loss

4 – loss

8 – win

1 – last bet

The results of these bets is a win of 1. The key to this system is to start the initial bet lower so that you do not have to worry about having to exceed the table maximum.

Grand Martingale

This variation works on the same principle as the classic system. Instead of doubling the bet after a loss, the player will double the bet and add 1. The sequence would look like:

1 – loss

3 – loss

7 – loss

15 – win

1 –

This system will allow a person to increase their bets faster and could lead to a larger payout.

Reverse Martingale

This variation involves the same doubling the bet strategy of the classic system. The difference in it is that instead of doubling the bet when a player loses, they double the bet when they win. This sequence would look like:
1 – win

2 – win

4 – win

8 – loss

1 –

This system could help a player win big if they get on a lucky streak and walk away before they get to a loss. If a player is not able to stop, they will still end up with the same results as the classic Martingale.

No matter what you do, one of the keys to success at roulette is having a system and this is a system that has worked for many people.
